  • Since Bespoke Bassoon operates as a for-profit business, the Weatherford Reed Projects operates within that model as of right now. Upon request, donors can receive confirmation of the reeds for which they provide the donation.

  • The application process can be done by the player, the player’s parents, or a teacher (band director or private lessons teacher). There is a form that can be filled out near the top of this page that includes contact information for Jake to contact the applicant directly to get more information. The goal is ultimately to make bassoon more accessible through providing assistance for people who experience financial barriers when playing bassoon, not to provide free reeds for people who can easily afford it.

  • Every increment of $15 dollars (with the exception of the $40 Three Reed Donation) immediately goes to a reed that is sent. If a donation of $10 comes in, followed by another $10 donation, a reed is sent and the amount is reset to $5.

  • The recipients are on a rotating list to avoid individuals disproportionately receiving reeds.
