The idea dates back to winter of 2013, with Jake helping his dad chop wood. Then, the thought hit him… “What if I could turn one of these pieces into a hand rest? All the stock hand rests don’t quite fit my hand anyways…”

Three hours later of experimental woodworking at a drill press yielded the first of many.

Eleven years passed using the odd-shaped hand rest, development of woodworking skills, and the many questions and piqued curiosities of fellow musicians led led to the start of the business Bespoke Bassoon, and one-stop shop for custom bassoon accessories.
